The Silverstane Colosseum is a three story arena in the middle of Ankh'eal focused on fighting and gambling services.

Description

From the exterior, the arena resembles a large oval made of sandstone with a vast number of arches at its peak. The arena itself has a capacity of over 25,000 people with many people standing around the arena. The stands peer down onto a pit designed for fighting. The central pit has four doors in each cardinal direction for fighters to enter, however it recetnly has opened up access to four mechanical entrances that can allow combatants to rise from underneath the arena. The combination of these elements allows fights to contain both humanoid and monsterous combatants, safely sectioning them off from the crowd. Additional protections are in place through the use of several ancient warding runes that stop any creature or combatant entering the stands.
Below the primary fighting pit is a set of secondary arenas, these are often used during primary fights to allow participants to warm up. However, outside of these main healine fights these secondary pits are used for more consistent gambling based fights. Beyond these arenas, the underground region is used to store fighters for larger fights and also as a temple to Djanrol. While not often associated with fighting, the Colosseum was an immense crafting project so to see it in use is the worship for Djanrol.
When acting as a temple, the primary four fighting pits are turned into individual areas of worship, each to a form of crafting or art that praises the gifts given to mortals by Djanrol to create. These displays often celebrate local craftspeople and become a gallery of their work before the eyes of the rich and noble,whilst also dedicating themselves to their religious pursuits.
