Personal history
Volderiano was born in Vintia to a minor noble house. He joined his uncle, a gambling booker, in a young age and showed a talent for business. In 1548, by the time he was 25 he was already operating several large gambling rings in the city and started to amass his own fortune.
Five years later, in 1553, the Imperial Royal Guard raided his gambling dens, but failed to secure him or his earning. The venues were closed and Volderiano arrested. He was later judged and found guilty of illicit game fixing and wealth embellishment. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison
During his transition to prison the convoy carrying him fell to an ambush. While the rest of his traveling companions were killed, he was not found. It was later discovered that he funded the attack and fled from the country to nearby Sesan.
In Sesan Voldoriano got in trouble with the law again, this time for funding and assisting a smuggling ring through an illicit gambling den he has set up in the city. He left again to Caeris, where he opened the Chain, a traditional Vintian inn that caters for wealthy clientele.
Wealth & Financial state
Volderiano is one of the richest people in Caeris, mostly due to the fact he was able to keep most of his fortune when fleeing from the Vintian Imperium. Among his possesions were the famous inn named The Chain, as well as several other shops and warehouses spread around the city and the rest of the Long Coast.
