Order of Arizor

The Order of Arizor is an academy for high magical education located in an undisclosed location within the Provienca di Merna. The organization's nearly complete discretion, its exclusivity and its brutal, often deadly acceptance trials have garnered it with a nearly mythological status among the many magical communities and academies.

Structure

The organization is led by an arch-mage, who is the only publicly known figure in the organization. No official documents or numbers have ever been released to the public, but leaked information and spying revealed the organization maintains at least one master for each school of magic, and no more than 60 students are enrolled in its programs at all times.

Public Agenda

While the Order of Arizor does not officially publish its agenda or goals to the general public, nor does it with any specific person in a position of power or with other magical orders. The only official claim is the order's complete and upmost neutrality.

History

The order of Arizor was founded in 1238 by Goliarno Lornveldi and four other Magus-Tir following the desertion of the Conclave of Magi. The group was displeased with the conclave's high council claim to neutrality, while their true commitment was maintaining a political statuesque. The order was founded in the Tower of Arizor, swearing true neutrality, and has been operating from the moving structure since.
The order claim of neutrality at all costs was proven during the war of the darsal sea, during which the order was the first to cease all connections with the warring sides. In 1536 the organization remained neutral once more when the province of Merna rose in rebellion against the crown. After refusing their aid to the rebels the order as a whole was declared as outlaws by the province's Magistrate, only to eventually reverse his judgment and clear them of all charges when they also refused to help the Vintian Imperium.
