The Legend of Bona Giko

The Legend of Bona Giko, also known as the Tale of Asor Kara-Sel, is a story referring to Bona Giko and the circumstances of its creation. Though initially dismissed as another myth of a past civilization, it gained prominence with the discovery of the Journal of Stone. Both documents bear many similarities to one another, despite being discovered in different locations and presumed to be written ages apart.

The Legend of Bona Giko

And Cho'el spoke and said: by blood you will rise and you will be justice; this valley is yours to rule; fill it with blood, and life will spark. And plenty and prosperity and great property and war will be yours. And they will praise you and revere you and follow you and you will Me. My judgement and My blood will be yours and you.

And when the valley became the river, Cho'el called upon Asor Kara-Sel again and said: go now and wander the rose of winds; north and south and east and west and fey and shadow and above and below and before and after; each of them fifty suns. And you will return and see the world you toiled for; and you will claim your throne; and you will be absolute.

Ten of fifties of suns has left and Asor Kara-Sel returned; and he will gaze on the city; and it was called Bona Giko; for one was magnificent and one was awesome. And Cho'el said: you are now as I am; you are Blood, and You will bear my word. And Blood built a mighty fortress. And a great army was His; and thousand riders of thundering hooves; and myriad men of cloth and maces of many feathers.

From wide and far the city was known; and merchants and traders and marquesses ever came and frequented. With great walls risen from the earth tricent feet high and pricent feet wide; and towers of granite and marble; and the river gave it life and prosperity.

With awe and reverence they came; the two devils. A devourer of flesh; his one hand had his other's side; and a mighty tail he had; clothed in silk of blue and scales of green he came. A dealer of lies; two horns of an ibex in his scalp and a tongue of precious metals in his mouth; with garments of green velvet and his skin of a stillborn he came. And they kneeled at His sight for He was a god.

At dawn He reclaimed it, and by noon the river ran red again by Him. And He chose one hundred of the dead and cried justice; and they rose and they lived and they never die. And they were called the Threshold of Miracles; for only a god can raise as many.
