The Ponderer's Race

The Ponderer's Race was a Vintian tradition practiced exclusively in Vintia and was centered around the statue of The Ponderer. The practice consist of children, mostly teenagers, building makeshift rafts and trying to race to the statue and back to the harbor's docks. While the Fellowship of The Ponderer promoted the event since its early days, it was officially institutionalized in the 13th century by the Vintian Imperial Navy who offered prestigious training programs, including dedicated officers training, to the winner of each year's official race. The practice came to an end once the Ponderer awoken in 1572.
