Mage's Ink, if applied to the body in the design of a spell, would allow the user to instantly cast the said spell without virtually any casting time. A common use of this technology is to have the spell for fire breathing tattooed onto your chest. It is a relatively simple spell that transmutes inhaled oxygen into the magical fire upon exhale. Casting these spells does still cost energy but negates the trouble of casting as they can be performed immediately.
The ink is applied to the body by an Ink Master but unlike normal tattoos, Mage's Ink can be removed quite painlessly should you decide you no longer need that specific spell. Ashuna Springs are special hot springs found all over Creation that emit a special kind of steam which, after a few hours, allows the Mage's Ink to painlessly drip from the body.
