Lyra looked away from the news clip as she nursed a beer and her anger. "Sounds like the Pipers have begun the siege then?"
"It was only a matter of time before it happened. They've been planning it for years," her sister Harmonia said with a shrug.
To Lyra it was a heartless shrug. A shrug without a shred of compassion or empathy or even basic understanding of right and wrong. Made clear by the fact that Monie reached for and grabbed a handful of nachos and then turned her attention their eldest sister sitting on Monie's other side. Lyra probably shouldn't be surprised by Harmonia's emotionless response, Harm's best friend was a Piper and was most likely leading the charge. A charge toward innocent people. Lyra shook her head, pushed her unfinished beer to Harmonia and stood.
Both of her sisters turned towards her. "Leaving already?" Thera asked.
"I need to go. I'm on the clock," she said and gave them each a hug before she left the bar.
She had a war to stop.
