Session (§1)

General Summary

Your party wakes up in a mysterious nest at the top of a tower. There are three egg spots in the nest, but it seems like the eggs are missing. You notice that most of your memories are missing too! It turns out that you are on a magical island. The whole island is one huge castle-like structure, surrounded by a seemingly endless ocean. A shimmereye from your party notices a strangely shaped island in the horizon, but the harsh sunlight dimmed his vision, so he could not fully inspect it. What he did notice is a tiny string of smoke rising from the forest not too far from you. Your party decides to go there.   You start venturing down the tower when you come across a mysterious grove with a magical sword with a glowing purple crystal stuck in a moss hill in the middle. A dragonborn from your party rips out the sword. The weapon immediately binds to him, marking him as its owner. Suddenly the ground shakes, and a huge skeleton knight arises from its slumber. While fighting the skeleton, the crystal on the sword becomes damaged as it tries to resurrect its fallen owner.   Your party fells the giant foe. As you are about to leave the arena, a demonic aberration emerges from the spiral staircase. It tries to reach to you, but you manage to escape. You run far into the great forest, following a mysterious stone path. You stumble upon some animal tracks leading into the thickets, but you decide to ignore them. The ancient stone path leads you to nowhere (dead end). You slash your way through the dense vegetation, walking towards a rising string of smoke. Your party comes across a flower field. You manage to kill two wild doves and acquire some food.   You arrive at the smoke location and see a huge hut. You investigate it and notice a locked basement door, as well as a faint stone path that leads into the dense bushes. You walk into the hut where a lovely pair of two friendly woodcrowned (Beatrice and Everest) meets you. Beatrice is an amulet weaver and Everest is an alchemist who brews potions. You fool Beatrice and give her two useless candles in exchange for an amulet of luck.   The woodcrowned pair tells you a fairy-tale about "The Island of Forgotten Names": an island to which people who have been ungrateful to their parents during their childhood are taken by a huge black dragon (they call her Amethyst) when they grow up. There is a huge demonic snake that haunts the island, The Basilisk. The only way of escaping from this demonic paradise is by finding your true name. The fairy-tale tells an almost exact copy of the situation that you are in, but it has some vague explanations of some parts, especially the way of escaping the island.   Beatrice tells you that their food supplies are running low, and there has been two days since their hunter hasn't returned from a trip into the woods!   You decide to take a long rest inside their hut.   In the middle of the night, the door slams open. The ember-orange hair of the silhouette glows in the soft moonlight. "I could not find him"
