Beast

Beasts are creatures that come from the natural world. They are animals, driven by instinct, survival, and the simple needs of life, like hunting, mating, and protecting their territory. Unlike more intelligent beings, beasts don’t plot or scheme—they act based on their environment and the situations they find themselves in. From the smallest critter to the most massive predator, beasts vary in size, shape, and danger.   Most of them possess the abilities you’d expect: claws, teeth, and powerful bodies. Some may have keen senses that make them excellent hunters or defenders of their habitat. While most beasts won’t attack unless provoked or hungry, they can still be unpredictable when cornered or threatened. Many adventurers encounter beasts in the wilderness, where they must decide whether to fight or find a way to avoid confrontation. They are a part of the world’s natural balance, existing in forests, plains, mountains, and oceans, living in harmony with—or sometimes in competition against—humankind and other sentient beings.
