Displacer Beast

Displacer Beasts were formidable creatures known for their sleek, panther-like appearance, featuring long, powerful limbs and a pair of long tentacles extending from their shoulders. Their fur was typically a deep black or dark gray, which provided excellent camouflage in shadowy environments. One of their most notable traits was their ability to create an illusion that made them appear to be slightly displaced from their actual location, causing confusion and making them difficult targets. These beasts were highly agile and skilled hunters, capable of moving swiftly and silently through various terrains.   Due to their strength and unique abilities, Displacer Beasts were sometimes tamed and utilized as mounts by the followers of the Great Cats. Riders would often find them to be both powerful and unpredictable, as these creatures had a mind of their own. While they could be trained for combat and reconnaissance, their natural instincts made them challenging to control. Those who successfully bonded with a Displacer Beast would benefit from the creature's keen senses and agility, allowing for swift movements through the wilderness and an advantage in skirmishes. However, the relationship between rider and mount was often fraught with tension, as the beasts were known to occasionally act on their own whims, leading to unpredictable outcomes in the heat of battle.
