Red Dragon

The Red Dragons were massive, imposing creatures, their scales a deep crimson that glowed like molten lava. Known for their sheer power and insatiable greed, they were arrogant and demanding, always seeking to dominate and hoard wealth. Their temper was legendary, quick to flare into violent outbursts, and they ruled through fear, making clear that defiance would not be tolerated. When they chose to shapeshift, they preferred forms that embodied physical strength and authority—often appearing as warlords, kings, or warriors draped in crimson armor. Their presence in any form commanded immediate respect and fear.   Red Dragons preferred volcanic or mountainous regions, where the land itself seemed to echo their fiery nature. Their lairs were typically hidden within active volcanoes or in the heart of treacherous mountain ranges, protected by natural hazards and molten rock. Rumors spread that the land surrounding a Red Dragon’s lair grew unnaturally hot, with rivers of lava flowing where none had before, and the air itself becoming thick with ash and sulfur. Villages near these lairs often suffered from droughts, wildfires, or eruptions, as if the dragon’s mere presence cursed the land.   Those who followed or served Red Dragons were often powerful warlords, mercenaries, or others seeking to benefit from the dragon’s strength and wealth. Some were enslaved after being conquered, forced to mine for riches or build fortresses to protect the dragon’s hoard. These followers were typically driven by fear, kept in line by the threat of the dragon’s wrath. Many were ambitious, seeking favor or a share of the wealth in exchange for their loyalty, but all knew that the dragon's demands were unending, and failure was met with swift and brutal retribution.
