Lots of people call it different things, and lots of people misunderstand how it works.

It is an almost-invisible network of fibres that connects every growing plant, especially mushrooms and fungi.

When you call upon the power of the Shroom-Web you call upon the element of earth combined with the life-force of plants as a source of power via this network of fibres.

The more understanding the caster has of the Shroom-Web, the wider their call for power will be and hence the greater the magical power of their spell.

Most druids have a very good understanding of how this works.
