Drowning Superstitions

Death by drowning is particularly feared in various Pretheyan cultures. Rukhmarites believe that those who perish underwater cannot have their souls snatched by Rukhmar, either because she cannot reach them underwater, or because the weight of the water causes them to sink down to the bottom of the sea rather than floating up into the sky.
