Forfir, known by the Hundred as the Forty-First, and by humanity as the Wyrm Lord, is one of the most pivotal figures in Pretheyan history. Arguably the single most famous historical figure within Pretheya - save for perhaps Rukhmar the Firebird - he is directly or indirectly responsible for many of the most significant events in Pretheya's history, and played a key role in the development of the humanoid races after the downfall of the First Country. He is best known as the founder of the Grannrormrlen; Pretheya's first empire, which at its height ranged from the western edge of Ostokive all the way to the Belyrian coast. He ruled over the Grannr as the nation's first Wyrm Lord for over eight hundred years, during which time he made many decisions that drastically altered the trajectory of the continent. Among other things, he is directly responsible for the many centuries of Wyrm rule that the continent's humanoid races were subjected to; thought by many to be responsible for the outbreak of the Grannr-Leskeln War; and created or fostered many cultural norms which have persisted until the present day. He was worshipped as a god by the Grannr's human population, and held religious sway over the empire's inhabitants in addition to his temporal power. In the late 7th-century Re, he would begin expanding his role in the empire's religion; even attempting to force the other Fyrstbairn in the empire to treat him as their deity. His death finally came when he was assassinated in 862 Re while on campaign in Ethlarnashem by his former subordinate, Lyri of Grestvyt.
