The Pretheyan Moon

A number of myths circulate around Pretheya's moon; the most prominent of which relate to the various unusual ways it may appear from time to time. The most prominent of these are to do with blood moons and eclipses: Within the Rukhmarite world, the former is believed to indicate that the barrier between the underworld and the mortal realm is weak. At these times, it is said that the unburied dead may begin to rise, and seek vengeance upon those who did not give them their proper funeral rites. Full eclipses are considered to be much more severe, and to indicate that Rukhmar's light has temporarily been blocked from the world. At these times, the Apparitions of the Damned are said to become able to interact with the real world, and wreak havoc upon the lives of the faithful.
