Devious, handsome, and brilliant. Blackjack has the right combination of loose morals and charm to get himself and his allies into extremely lucrative situations, and out of dangerous ones. But beneath the smile lies a determination to achieve his goals, no matter the cost. Though cost isn't often a problem, as his brilliant singing voice and mastery of the lute and viol are always the highlight of any tavern experience, often earning him hundreds of gold pieces a week.

His mother was killed by a sort of inquisition who represented an undisclosed god. Since then he has watched people pray in futility and wage wars for the gods to no end. He hates the gods and everything about them.
So he wants to become a god.
More specifically, THE god.
Important people have secrets, when magic is a rarity, it can be a secret. Someday he’ll find someone who knows what he needs to know. Then he’ll make them share it.
Being a bard is easy for Blackjack because he’s always been handsome and can turn on the charm. But he isn’t particularly strong or fast.
