The city-states of Aeuto, Hontuali, Polton, and Lliaq banded together to repel the invading armies of the Ponouli to the north. Lliaq led the initial charge, with its wealth and military might, it was easy to convince the other city-states to join them. However, after the threat was repelled, and the armies of Aeuto, Hontuali, and Polton were weakened-- Lliaq continued to exert this influence over them, having already had greater forces, and having prepared to unite them as a single nation. The new nation was named Zilopnou, after the Lliaq king who had passed in the war.
