Qyndall

The northern portion of this Pangea like world is a land of darkness with a small beacon of light doing it's best to push back the threat that promises to overthrow all that is decent and good. There is a kingdom called Aldonia, ruled by the clergy and presided over by a Paladin monarch they do their best to defend the humanoid races. Their counterpart is a country whose king attained godhood but refused to set aside his crown and demands rivers of blood to flow in his name.   To the south are largely unexplored and undiscovered areas which contain any number of civilizations both past and current. At the southern most part of the world we find a land that has risen up into the air due to the magic that has been infused into the rocks themselves. Upon these floating isles rests the remains of another civilization, however there are signs of movement that haven't been seen in hundreds if not thousands of years...   The huge number of islands that have broken off from the mainland contain any number of surprises and developed their own ecologies that have led to some very strange creatures that some sailors have learned to fear. There are even rumors of one island that contains the prison of a creature born in legend that dwells beneath the land, corrupting the trees and life above it. To set foot on this island is to invite death, even that however may be only a temporary relief.
