On Leviathans, the Origin

Introduction

~ As Written by Sire Datheld Dholm, Master of Studies of the Seawatch Committee of Gentlemens

While the true origins of the beasts we have deemed Abyssal Leviathans (not to be confused with Black Leviathans, Aetheric Leviathans, or Blood Leviathans) is a point of argument between science and faith. On the side of faith, the Cryptpriests of Bastion proclaim that Leviathans are the spawn of a forgotten Beastfolk deity that was slain upon the arrival of the First Men. This argument is of course refuted by the honorable Gearpriests of Seawatch.
As any educated member of the Seawatch Committee of Gentlemens would know, Leviathans should be considered a natural phenomenon. The scientific, thus irrefutable, facts that prove this point is that Leviathans breed and they die of old age. As our studies have proven that the spawn of any divine, Beastfolk or not, do not age. Additionally, no Godbeast in our recorded history has given birth.
I have written to the Committee about this matter more than once and this is the final straw. We, educated members of Seawatch, cannot be running around blaming the mundane on the acts of Divine. No matter how chaotic they may appear to those with any semblance of proper education. We must stop these lies.
Now, some of you are asking "Then where, please tell, did these creatures come from?" And that I will gladly tell you. The Abyssal Leviathans are but a subspecies of the greatly more prominent Black Leviathans. I propose to you, Committee of Gentlemens, that The Abyss was once attached to the Black Sea and due to some catastrophe, likely of divine nature, was landlocked for enough years to breed a unique breed of Leviathan.

P.S.
AND STOP ASKING ME ABOUT THE DAMNDABLE WATER. I DON'T KNOW. I WILL BE CONTACTING MY LAWYER ON THE GROUNDS OF HARASSMENT, HAGVIR. DO NOT TAKE MY WORDS LIGHTLY.
