2024/08/21: Zyth Concert Part 2 Report

Buzz checked the status of the Necrosa tech signals. 60 in the ship, 20 backstage, 70-80 in the crowd.
The party went to coordinate with Miles. Apparently there's a hacking war going on in the battleship above. The hacker kids will likely be busy for the time being. One of the big invincible guys was spotted in human form in a trench coat. Surprisingly good at blending in. Density of a small planet, very resistant to scrying. Was only identified when a defending thief went to rummage through his pockets and found him to be immovable.
Terana went to track down the invincible guy. The rest of the party shadowed her as backup. Looked like he'd gone backstage. James caused a commotion inside and got a bunch of teams of security guys to be sent out, including at least some of the invincible guys, apparently part of the hired security.
The party tracked down two of the disguised security constructs. The machines were exceptionally tough, but the party's combination of magical power and sheer skill cut through them in just under 6 seconds. The party checked in with Miles and moved on to the next target. A sensor check showed the Necrosa signals in the battleship disappearing one by one, as if someone was walking through the corridors and popping balloons. That seemed handled. Miles told the party about two more of the constructs chasing another adventuring party. Our heroes ran to intercept.
What remained of the friendly party was running from the constructs on a giant bear. A sorceress had stayed behind to hold the constructs back with a wall of what seemed to be soulflame. Terana yelled for her to drop the wall and run. As our heroes passed her and charged the constructs, the sorceress collapsed to her knees, exhausted.
The party knew how to deal with these things now. Terana went two-handed on one and blended it while Zaran psionically disintegrated most of the other. Humphery and Buzz thoroughly finished it off.
Then, in the midst of Zyth doing a skit, a zombie army rose, a dark lord appeared to lead it, and a misdirected shot from something happening backstage disintegrated a chunk of armor from the battleship overhead. The time for subtlety was over.
