Death phase spider

Death phase spiders are an intelligent and dangerous variant of the phase spider, living communally and hunting by wrapping their prey in ethereal webs and then pulling them into pocket dimensions to eat them. Their size and physical power increases as they age, with the largest known example being gargantuan.
Death phase spiders are sapient and capable of speech.

Additional Information

Geographic Origin and Distribution

The only known examples of this species were found in the Meridan Underdark in a colony just south of what would become New Hallownest. They have since become citizens of that city.
