In another age, Sarkessceli was thriving colony across the Horkos Sea. When the kingdoms of Iriashe, arrived they quickly conquered and displaced the native populations to into the jungles of the deep. In time they grew powerful and constructed sprawling settlements. For 2000 years they ruled without question, Dwarves, Humans, Elves, in their own minds they were seperate, but in the eyes of the natives, they were man. 900 Years ago a lone Lizard folk arose and led a rebellion against the colonial empires, he gathered to his banner kobolds, felines, wolves and dragonborn in addition to his own brethren. Uniting the natives, they waged war against the colonies until they pushed them out of their cities, and off their continent, yielding only to them a lone island to the north. For had they been completely driven out they would surely have returned to their homelands and returned with a far larger force to wipe them out. Today, Sarkessceli is ruled by the Tyrsar, or Lizard King, who for nearly 900 years as ruled from Sal'zenitar unquestioned. His Lieutenants the Fal'toripan or Druid kings, ruled over the other settlements, each to their own. Teaching their craft to their heirs. By the signature of his charter of rule, the Tyrsar would have no heir, and would choose from his lieutenants offspring a worthy successor, be they lizard folk, feline, wolf, dragonborn or kobold. 900 years of peace had changed the beastfolk's cultures, with peace came abundance, and traditions changed, thinking changed. And thus they were no longer dumb beasts loosely bound by instinct, but formidable adversaries. But tensions remained uneasy for the Dragonborn who ruled Remnant, permitted man to dwell among them, the kingdoms of Mann anxiously awaiting word of the death of Tyrsar, for in his death, they would rise up once again, and finish the job that their ancestors failed at, when they first settled in Sarkessceli.
