Attitude towards Common varies, with the west side of the Federation regulating its use and defining new words carefully within its states, while the East Federation has allowed developing dialects. While the Federation promotes Common as the language of human-kind, it can prove a challenge for others across the world to learn, creating an elite status for those with a gift for languages.
