Skylights

Science historians believe that a long time ago, humanity sent things into the sky called 'skylights' that would send signals to the ground for military purposes. Some blame skylights for the failure of several attempts made by humans to reach the skies and create working aircraft.   Despite that, skylights are often referenced kindly in literature and art, and many cultures hold them to high esteem as beautiful objects that draw silvery lines in the sky.
A few days later, Lu was able to find a private booking for the local luna pool. The moon above the black, still water was a bright white crescent, supported by colonies of stars and roaming skylights breezing past. The glass roof emphasised their beauty, and Nori was able to use her own magic to weave glittering gold stalactites that leaked soft drips of light down to the pool.
