Slavery has been outlawed in the world of Shallow waters for the past 30 years... However, this has not stopped some more unscrupulous characters from continuing to enjoy holding other races captive and making them perform to their wishes,
Morgan SeaDreamer was born to two very loving parents that she can no longer fully remember, her other parent was killed trying to save their wife and child from slavers, so it was at the young age of 3 that Morgan lost her freedom and was branded with a sun symbol in the middle of her back declaring her as no more than property to the Horrible Draconis Nobles.
Her next 5 years consisted of her having to pretend to be mute and unable to sing while she ran around doing whatever jobs she was commanded to perform, her mother soothing her to sleep every night by telling her one day Queen Orehime would free all Merfolk from the tyranny and abuse of humans,
Not long after her Eighth Birthday, she woke to yelling, screaming and loud noises filling her ears, she looked around to ask her mother what was going on, however, she was nowhere to be found, so Morgan made the decision to go outside and seek her, she was almost run over by some other slaves running away as fast as they could, some of them stopped and tried to entreat her to come with them, however, she shook her head and made the signs for Mother, they looked at her in pity and shook their heads telling her that she had fallen and it was better if Morgan came with them now, Morgan did not want to believe this so she ran away shaking her head no,
It was not long before she came across her mother's prone body, she was curled up in the corner near the servant's quarters, Morgan quickly knelt beside her and tried to wake her up, her Mother smiled up at her, some blood escaping her lips and sliding down her chin, she beckoned Morgan to come closer and with her dying breath she pressed something into Morgans hands and spoke her final words "Never Let them silence you again" with that she passed into unconsciousness.
Morgan sat there in shock with her mothers body, tears streaming down her face, for a long time, as the sun began to rise she was approached by a Tall Merfolk who seemed to be part tiger shark, "I'm sorry for loss Lass but we need to move you all out of here and get whoever has homes home"
The Tall woman was called Tigera and she was the captain of the SeaKings, as Morgan had no family that she knew off she did not want to return to Nodenly, she pleaded and begged for Tigera to take her on as an cabin crew, Howver the Captain was kind but firm, a Pirate Ship was no place for a young child, Morgan deserved a chance to be a child again and the opportunity to be safe and protected growing up,
Since Morgan has no one, she agreed to be with the Revolutionary Army until she was of age and then if she still wanted she could seek out Tigera again and petition to join her crew then.
