Daiyamondo

Overview

A large, subtropical island in the eastern reaches of the Archipelago, boasting lush forests, glistening mountain peaks, pristine beaches and vast meadows. Despite the abundance of humans, Daiyamondo is considered a melting pot of exotic races, including several subspecies of near-humans, not commonly found elsewhere in the Archipelago.
Daiyamondo is the sacred homeland of the Seven Great Clans of Hōseki. These great clans are made up of Daimoyos and their Samurai, who serve the will of the Shogun. Within the last 30 years, however, the island has become influenced by more western cultures as the World Government Marines managed to gain a grip on the island after the death of the previous Shogun.
Officially, the current Shogun Crystalheart Haruto is a high-ranking member of the Marines, but the position is mostly a formality, the true purpose of it allowing the great clans, their daimyos and Samurai to continue overseeing their respective regions without outside interference. Despite the newly integrated western cultures, the great clans have managed to hold onto many of their feudal beliefs and traditions

The Territories

Daiyamondo is split into roughly eight equal territories, the seven outer regions are overseen and belong to each of the Seven Great Clans of Hōseki, whilst the centralmost region is dominated by the newly renamed grand city of New Austin, where the Crystal Palace, the Shogun and the imperial families reside. whilst not exact, the north-westernmost territories are more mountainous whilst the south-eastern is closer to flatter meadows an beaches.
