Perfurar's Journal #2
General Summary
Day 2
It has been an... interesting experience being back home. I must admit I avoided all of our usual haunts, there are not many pleasant memories left for me in such gods forsaken places. Instead I joined our relatively new warforged Clyde to visit his 'father' - the arquimago of Marmore. On the way I found a quaint shop selling wares that fell of the back of the barge so to say and picked up an invisible dagger, while Clyde purchased a 'Bloodspear' that I thought would make a good harpoon. We made it in to the arquimago's workshop, and the two of them had a... strange bonding experience, but I guess I have nothing to compare to when it comes to father-child bonding right?
Zoe and Morgan went back to the Sapphire Skiff and purchased some of those musical plates so we can have some music without a bard on board. I found out later that they also made a deal with someone to smuggle a small box to the White Lotus Lighthouse and the hermit that inhabits it. They agreed to cut me in if I could chart a course that happened to go past, and naturally I obliged.
We've also picked up a bounty for a figure named Galvarino who stabbed a few of the town guards. He is to be captured and was last seen about a weeks journey to the south. Sounds like a bit of a hero to me, but hey, coin is coin. There were also two cargo jobs to the West, but they are a bit out of the way. Saoirse found more cargo for the southern route and a strange halfling we came across while gambling made a deal with her as well. I'm not sure how to take him, I'm a little skeptical, but as I said before, coin is coin.
I write this while charting a course, I'm hoping to make port as often as possible to allow me more chances to find news of your whereabouts. I miss you dearly. Umbrell has joined us again at the helm, and I suspect he also has a 'job' further south. I'm still not sure whether it's more a boon or bond to have him aboard.
