Shattered Island
The Shattered Island is an archipelago dominated by one large central island, a smaller dry island to the east and many small islands on the western side. The Sukulluku believe that it was once one large island that was shattered by a nature god centuries ago due to their over-development of the land, clearing of forests and mining in the mountains. Since then, they have refrained from impacting the environment much and most worship the god.
The eastern side is leeward and dominated by the Gente who are dwarves that primarily live in two settlements, either side of a strait - Madera among the deadwoods and Colina in the hills. Almost all rainfall is blocked by the mountains, leaving the east covered in desolate hills, dry badlands and deadwoods. There is little in the way of agriculture, with the Gente relying primarily on trade for sustenance, however the small island is rich in minerals and Madera boasts a strong industrial centre with impressive forges.
The western, windward side is dominated by the Sukulluku who are lizardfolk that believe in maintaining a balance with nature. They are rich in natural resources, suspicious of outsiders and in conflict with the Gente.
