Thanatos Pappas (Than-a-toce)
Thanatos Pappas is a hunter hailing from Memento Mori Islands (Mori), an Acolyte in service to The Morrigan, and the older brother of Zoe Pappas.
Thanatos grew up in the village community of Shady Gallows, alongside his younger sister Zoe. Being trained from a young age by his parents, as well as the village's acolytes of the Morrigan, Thanatos had risen up as one of the best hunters and alchemists amongst his peers, his devotion to his faith even gifting him primal magic to assist him in his hunts. However, despite his respect for necromancers, especially the bone shamans, Thanatos is trained to put them down, as well as their undead, should they become a threat to Shady Gallows, and by extension, the outside world.
Despite not being on the best terms with each other, Thanatos loves his younger sister dearly. When he heard of Zoe's first, yet ill-advised, attempt at ascending to lichdom early, the older brother immediately abandoned the hunt he was on, arriving just in time to save Zoe from her ritual gone wrong. Despite Zoe's reasoning behind her attempt at lichdom, the end result had rendered Thanatos a little uneasy around undead for a while, even developing a hatred for liches, seeing them as no better than the otherworldy monsters he hunted. this resolve has left the hunter fearful that his sister may attempt the rite of lichdom again and may end up becoming the very thing he's sworn to remove from the world.
