Roya Vanir

Roya fears the darkness that she hunts creeping into her own soul. She fears becoming one of the creatures she hunts, losing her grip on her humanity and hurting those she has vowed to protect.
Roya has the lean, hard-edged build of a survivalist. Her light brown skin bears the semblance of marks, burns and scars, the souvenirs of her confrontations with dark creatures. Her hair is a wild mane of rough black curls, partly held up in a leather band. Her dark eyes carry an intensity that belies her age of 22. Her clothing is practical, a mixture of leathers and furs, clearly designed for protection and utility. She carries her weapons with a sure confidence that communicates her deadly proficiency.
She often looks through people, as if she's staring at something only she can see. When not on a hunt, she whittles small animals from wood, leaving them at the sites of her past battles.
In her solitude, she has developed a fondness for the violin. Its melancholic, sweet sound has become her form of expression and a source of solace in her lonesome nights.
Roya Vanir comes from a humble village that no longer exists, erased by a dreadful fire that claimed her family. When the mists took her to a dark, twisted world, it forced her to learn how to survive, to fight, to hunt the undead. Upon her return, she found her world shattered, her family gone, and her home a mere ghost of the past. Now she has become a hunter, a protector of the living, an agent for the Kingdom of Polaria. Her life is a continuous cycle of hunts, remaining forever vigilant, ensuring no other innocent life suffers her fate.
Roya is stoic and pragmatic, with a hardened exterior from years spent hunting supernatural entities. She offers respect where it is due and rarely displays her emotions. A fierce protector, she values life but understands the necessity of death. She abhors the undead and any creature that disrupts the natural cycle of life.
