Letters from Camp - July 3, 2023

Baby day

On Mondays, I'm grandma, watching my 2-year-old granddaughter. It involves getting up early, something my body never reacts well to. I don't sleep well, and then the little darling just exhausts me, so I'll be heading to bed early. Add to it that I live in a tourist destination and this long weekend has doubled the local population and the traffic. I'm worn out!

Being Productive

But during the day, I did a lot of thinking about the prompts and missions. My goal for today is to put together a plan for the current wave of promts and to start sorting out what to do about this Dimi Mission!

Since this is the power prompt, I do want to give as much attention to Aubadeon as possible.

10. A popular summer tradition that involves art and creativity - Summer Arts Festival - Spaceport

If I can make time to write these up, that will get me 7 articles toward the original Camp Chill goal of working on Aubadeon.

It will give me 3 articles for Spaceport, but only one will definitely count towards the Dimi Mission.

All 10 will count towards diamond.

More thoughts on the Dimi Mission

I continue to struggle with this, but I'm leaning towards using the original "Spaceport" building as I had intended and the way the books are written. Yes, things expand onto the station later, but the original purpose of the 'port was to be like DS9 or Babylon 5 on Earth. From the standpoint of the aliens, this is the middle of nowhere, an outpost for tourists coming to look at the primitives.
