Player's Handbook

Lawes for Character Creation Attributes Skills Talents Gear Materials Character Development Combat Journeys Rest & Recovery Magic
The Character Sheet The Character Sheet is the cornerstone of this game. This is the story of you and your fellow players, aided by the tireless work of your game’s Gamemaster. You can play as heroes, or you can all play as villains or simple wanderers. The varieties of life and death are endless in this universe, and death itself is far from the end of one’s story.
Buy The Free Leagues Books For information on the setting and characters of the game, please refer to the various Symbaroum books provided by The Free Leagues. This book is focuses only on overhauling the game mechanics.
The new mechanics however are based entirely upon the Forbidden Lands and Alien RPG system of rules, also published by The Free Leagues. While I have made changes to fit into this system which I like, I cannot recommend strongly enough that you spend some of your hard-earned money buying the books that the The Free Leagues provide (and some of the dice too while you are at it!).
What You Need to Play We recommend you get pencils, whatever visual aids you wish (maps, art, minifigures, etc.), dice and character sheets. The visual aids are not required but can be a lot of fun to help delve into your character a bit more. If a map is required for your particular game, your Gamemaster will provide it. We won’t spend too much time talking about why a pencil is important, so we’ll just focus for a moment on the dice and character sheet.
The Dice Regular six-sided dice (aka, D6) are required to play the game. Since there are three types of dice that can be used during play, we recommend that your six-sided die have three different colors. More information about how to use the dice for most rolls can be found in the skills section.
Uncommon Rolls The rules will sometimes ask you to roll D3, 2D6 and D66. D3 means you roll a D6 and divide the result by two, rounding up. 2D6 means you roll two six-sided dice and add the results. D66 means you roll two D6. The first die represents the tens digit, and the second die represents the ones digit. That generates a result between 11 and 66.
