Ruled over by The Lady of Pain she is a silent guardian but she doesnt pay much attention to what goes on except the laws she has laid down. Up and Down - Down is always where a cutters feet are, so its possible two individuals can be stood opposite sides of the ring of eachother and both be looking up at eachother. Night and Day - There is no night or day cycle defined by a sun. There is just a luminescence that is in effect for 12 hours of the day, and the other 12 hours are darkened by the lack of this light. The light is gloomy enough that with exception of the 6 brightest hours of the day, creatures with sunlight sensitivity can walk around any time. . Weather - Rain and Smog permeate the city. A greasy looking haze from the smoke and fumes from all the chimneys. The rainwater has a brownish tinge. It is generally cool with a light breeze Buildings - to keep down costs, most folks go out and use what's already here. Folks build more or less how they please on tracts that are too small and hinky. In places like the Hive there's even less control; there, a berk builds wherever he can with whatever he's got, which ain't much. For some this means building out and into the street. For others, it's building ramshackle shanties on the roofs of other houses. Space is more important than beauty, berk.
