When a creature within 30ft. of you takes damage, you may use your reaction to cast a spell that shields them using your own life’s essence. The damage is lowered by 6d6 and you then take half of the amount of damage that was shielded. Any resistances or immunities you may have against the type of damage the target takes, do not lower the amount of damage you take.
