Dragon Gecko
The Dragon Gecko is a small draconic creature found in jungles, rainforests and deserts across the world. They possess a small affinity for magic and an insatiable fascination with enchanted crystals and gemstones. The scales of a dragon gecko have the appearance of a matte and slightly dull gemstone. Most dragon gecko's have scales with a deep sapphire or amethyst coloration, slightly rarer are specimens with a ruby, emerald, or topaz color, and even more elusive is the opal dragon gecko.
Crystal Hoarders. Next to basking in the sun, these geckos are often spotted laying down on gemstones, crystals and glass. They are especially drawn to crystals that have innate magic or have been enchanted. It is thought that the innate magical nature of the gecko resonates with the magic of the crystals. If a gecko is able to dislodge and take a crystal, they will collect it and add it to a hoard or nest. They usually take it in their their mouth but are also able to grasp it in their arms and walk on their hind legs. Dragon geckos create small shimmering caches with these stolen treasures in which they rest and replenish their energy.
Tiny Trickster. Dragon geckos have a diet of insects and fruits, but sometimes eat the eggs of small birds as well. They have some affinity for Illusion magic which aids them in hunting for prey. They appear to be able to manipulate the light around them, causing their scales to change color and blend seamlessly with their surroundings. This allows the dragon gecko to effectively camouflage themselves, evade potential predators and hunt with stealth and precision. Additionally, they can emit a soft, ethereal glow from their bodies, creating an enchanting display that may confuse a threatening predator. If attacked, they tend to dart around their foe, confuse them with their innate abilities and bite them with their rows of sharp teeth.

This gecko sounds so adorable! Can a person keep them as a pet, maybe to help looking for gemstones?
