Kervel Gluv

Kervel Gluv is an elvish man from Wolfsbrunn. He has lived in Ankoya for a few years, expanding the influence and power of The Blood while tapping into the magic and resources of Azuno.

Appearance

Kervel is a slender looking man with sharp features. He has a little bit of a hooked nose and long, blond, straight hair that he often ties into a bun or braid. On his right shoulderblade he has a tattoo of a woman's face with no mouth wearing a seven pronged crown. Kervel always wields a simple dagger and a rapier. He often wears silk, loose fitting clothing that does not impede his movement, in battle he prefers to wear studded leather armor with crimson accents.

Beliefs and Goals

Kervel appears a friendly man, but rules with an iron fist. He is a devout follower of the Red Queen and is willing to sacrifice almost anything to prove his devotion to her and The Blood. In the last decades, Kervel Gluv led a small group of cultists in search of a remnant or traces of the Red Queen. This search had led him to Azuno where he had traced his own bloodline to and where presumably an heir of one of the Seven Heroes would be living. During his time there, he discovered the innate magic that permeates the jungles of Ankoya. He recruited the ranger Varic Trafina into his service, believing his knowledge of the Astris Tree and extraplanar travel might result in the liberation of the Red Queen. Their failed efforts to find the heir of one of the seven, eventually led to the event known as The West Ankoyan Massacre. During this event, several villages and homesteads in west Ankoya were wiped out in a series of killings and battles initiated by the Blood. The cultist never found the heir and were eventually defeated by the people of Ankoya. For several years after the massacre, cultists of the Blood have been rooted out and brought to justice within the jungles of Azuno, but Kervel was never among those captured. It is rumored that Kervel had escaped and managed to travel back to Wolfsbrunn shortly after the West Ankoyan Massacre.

Wolfsbrunn Ties

People who considered themselves to be within the inner circle of Kervel, know him to have some connections to the kingdom of Wolfsbrunn. During his time in Azuno he would sometimes travel back to Wolfsbrunn for short periods of time to meet with other leaders and followers of the Blood. In closed rooms he would sometimes speak of Theodeus, the general of the kingdom of Wolfsbrunn. Apparently he was somehow responsible for fresh recruits and weapons for the Blood.
