Civilization and Culture

History

The mousekin were originally a created race - the result of unlucky travelers who got caught up in the curse of the Tanglebrier Forest. Since that time, the new race has bred true, introducing a new species of inquisitive, pintsized furry folk to the Greenwold.
Resembling an oversized, bipedal rodent, tiny of stature and swift underfoot, mousekin are adept at not being seen. Due to their small numbers and recent origin most folk of the Greenwold have never seen nor heard of the mousekin. Fortunately, mousekin make friends easily - striking most civilized races as endearingly cute. Nevertheless, mousekin can be just as potent with swords and spells as their larger counterparts (to the surprise of many an opponent).
Without a history to truly call their own, the mousekin are natural vagabonds and searchers - exploring the world and their place in it. For many, their goal is simply to find a place worthy of being called home.
