Karlenis

Karlenis is the goddess of diplomacy and order, one of the wiser among the Syolladver. Many of her followers are keepers of peace, solvers of conflicts, or diplomats. She looks over Syoll’s Triad Assemblies.
Karlenis is a very pacifistic goddess, and values communication above all. She does not enjoy conflict of any kind and only likes arguments if they are a means to an end and remain respectful. The type of order she likes is very much the kind that keeps the peace and prefers if things remain the way they are, as long as they are just to begin with.
Her holy symbol shows three upwards pointing spears whose shafts are entwined in a braid. This has occasionally been simplified as a trident, but the change is not very popular and has never gained much traction.
Followers of Karlenis favour communication over confrontation, often acting as peacekeepers or as mediators. They often work to keep the law in order or have high-ranking positions in matters of national politics. They understand and teach the importance of pacifism and civility, but are occasionally ignored or generally not respected as much as people devoted to other deities.
When the Elphedver awoke and returned, Karlenis was the one to broker a fragile peace between the two pantheons. During the Doomsday Century, she fought to keep the peace, but was only listened to by the other Syolladver once one of their own, Rogna, was killed. She was then able to make a relatively stable peace with the remaining Elphedver, and is so represented as the one responsible for the end of the war.
