Workman

An augmented crow serving as one of the mascots of the 8745th Montral Fusilliers regiment. Workman is employed by the regiment, finding live but disabled soldiers, and helping triage, as well as identifying dead opposing force casualties.
Workman was bigger, and stronger than the little songbird he had cared for in his childhood, but to Michael, the large, liquid eyes of the crow always brought little Bethel to mind.   "What have you got there, Commissar?" Sophia Van Stoat, officer-in-charge of the regiment, was doing a tour of the base.   "Just checking our Mascot's plumage, Colonel, I thought he took a shot in that last battle."   "Come by my office after... Michael." Her voice broke. Sophia, self-declared fussbudget to herself, certified pain in the ass to most of the soldiers, never seemed uncertain. She'd also never called Michael by his first name before...   It's just a routine request. Michael told himself, almost shaking as he reached for the doorknob. He'd always been wishy-washy, too eager not to rock the boat to assert himself, but he had a crush on his commanding officer for a bit. The regulations against fraternizing didn't help, Sophia's jokes about him being her work husband didn't either.   "I have a confession to make..." She started, but stopped, as Workman just flew in, landing on his perch just outside her office, the 'Caw-caw' sound going through the thin wall like a hot knife through butter. "But not here..."   "Why not?"   "You mean you don't know? Workman's always recording, and he peeps through cameras around if he's bored.   "There's a camera in your office?"   "Four. Keep your voice down. I'll never understand how you trust those damn birds, the way they're augmented to spy on people."

"So what did you want to talk... oof!" He was interrupted by her throwing himself into his arms.

Roast peanuts is a silly project: what if you took the peanuts characters, aged them up into adulthood, and threw them into the grimdark that is Warhammer 40k. Well, some characters get more mixed in, see below article:
