The Goddess of The Moon, The Chosen Knight, The Purified
Andrea lived as a mortal, died as an aasimar and was reborn as a God. Andrea grew up in South Cavali, in the Northern Provinces of Mytha, the War of the Gods had been raging on for 200 years and food was scarce. She was weak and frail as a child, barely able to walk, but made the journey to her village's shrine to Solus every day to pray for her family and neighbours wellbeing. Over time, she found new strength, and committed herself fully to Solus, who she thanked for her recovery. At age 18 Andrea had become a squire to an aasimar of Solus, Sir Iatrus and rode with him into battle. During The Great Undeath, Andrea was marked, meaning that upon dying she would be resurrected as a servant of Morrow. Sir Iatrus refused to allow Andrea onto the battlefield, for fear of her turning and him having to put down his companion. Despite Iatrus' refusal, Andrea continuously snuck out from wherever she was being held and followed the army of Aegis. In 250 WG, at the Battle Below the Markada, Andrea watched Iatrus fall in battle and took over control of his regiment, leading them to victory. This achievement gained her the attention of Solus, who despite resistence from the other Gods, decided to make Andrea one of his aasimar, knighting her in the process.
During an ambush by Nocturne, Solus was cast down and close to death, before Nocturne's killing blow could be delivered, Andrea threw herself between the two lashing out with her sword as she did so. She intercepted Nocturne's spear, struck the Goddess in the chest and died, buying enough time for Solus to recuperate and force Nocturne away. As he cradled her body, he refused to let her die and so gave up his power over the Moon, transferring it to Andrea, reviving her and making her a Goddess. While other Gods are multifaceted and take power from a multitude of sources, Andrea draws her power solely from the Moon, which itself takes power from Solus. As such, Andrea is considered by many to be the weakest of the Gods, and this is theorized to be why she is the only God permitted to remain in the mortal plane.Relationships
Followers of Dame Andrea
As the only God physically present in the mortal plane, Andrea carefully selects her followers. She currently has the largest following of aasimar in the mortal plane and uses them as an active force to support the Hallowed Inquisition and Order Unbroken. Her worshippers tend to have some form of ailment or past that they seek to cure/redeem through service to her and the mortal plane. Her Followers are close allies to the Followers of Solus and often share a temples and shrines.
