Octolan
The God of Justice, Duty and Willpower, The Blind God, The Respected
Octolan was the most widely respected of the Gods and was a close ally of Solus during the War of the Gods, saving the Sun God multiple times over the course of the 1000 year conflict. Relatively early in the war, Octolan was blinded by Nocturne, disguised as a cupbearer, wounding her in the process. This was a massive blow to the Aegis, and to Octolan personally. He was a legend on the battlefield, and up to this point had led his soldiers by example. No longer would he be capable of leading the vanguard and it was feared that the armies of the Aegis would lose their morale without him there. Though no longer able to fight, Octolan's influence on the war arguably increased, he took over the training of troops, personally managed the armies and resources of the Aegis. Octolan personally saw to it that his presence would still be felt on the battlefield, training a squadron of aasimar mounted on alicorns to head the vanguards of the Aegis' armies.
While the Empire permits prayer to every God, there is an undeniable bias toward Octolan. They take the symbol of the Alicorn as their symbol and have invested massively into temples dedicated to Octolan. During the Aberrant War, Mythan Alicorn riders said that they felt a presence guiding them on the battlefield. Later, during what many thought were the final days of Mytha, it was the Aasimar of Octolan that charged the invading forces and began to turn the tide of the conflict. Many of these Aasimar went on to form the Order Unbroken, alongside the chosen of the other Aegis Gods.

Followers of Octolan
It is common place for followers of Octolan to blind themselves, or at the very least carry out their duties whilst blinded by a ceremonial blindfold. Most followers are priests, or act within the justice system, though few have become warriors honing their senses to be able to fight on the battlefield.
