Sundara

The Goddess of Nature, The Harvest and Life, The Slain, The Betrayed, The Loved
Sundara was the Goddess of Nature, having dominion over plants and the life they provided. She cared for her sister Serra, the Goddess of Beasts and all animals that lived within her woods ensuring that she never endangered the woods nor its inhabitants through rash actions against humanoid races. Over the course of her life, Sundara developed a deep and loving relationship with Mortu, the God of Death. Though the two were opposites, they made up two parts of a neverending cycle and during their time together, they admired every aspect of existence and lauded over its glory.    When the Conqueror ascended, becoming the first ever mortal to attain Godhood, he sought out Serra, a Goddess he had been in close contact with and whom he knew resented the confines the Shieldmaiden and her sister placed on her. When he went to take Serra, Sundara opposed the Conqueror and in the process, was killed. The God of War and Corruption drove his spear through her stomach and left with Serra in tow.

Followers of Sundara
When Sundara died, her influence over nature faded with her. That is not to say that nature itself died, no nature remained, but it became wild and untamed. The druids living in the woods no longer had access to Sundara's magic, they were no longer able to talk to their animals and manipulate the growth of plants, they were powerless and desperate. While there isn't a druid alive who wouldn't claim to be a Follower of Sundara, there are no longer any druids whose power sources from the Goddess. Most Followers of Sundara have made pacts with Archfey or other beings to grant themselves power over nature. This borrowed power has been used to prevent holy sites within the forests of Sundara from decaying, as they otherwise would without the Goddess' magic to sustain them.
