The Ruins of Maleii

A more recent construction, and a more recent disaster. When the Empire began to rebuild in the North, they brought with them great wizards to help manage and construct cities in short periods of time. Maleii was a new settlement, designed to spearhead the reconstruction of The Broken Isles. The wizards of Maleii rebelled when limitations were set on their magic. They supposed that their power would equal if not surpass a weakened Empire. They were right, and the Empire knew this, so rather than engage in open conflict with Maleii, the Empire sent a small group to destabilize the Source Tear that fueled the wizard's power. The result was devastating for the settlement, the straggler wizards were either slaughtered or driven into hiding.
