Yan

The Goddess of Travel, Adventure and The Wind

Known for her short temper, Yan was the fastest of the Gods. During the War, she and her aasimar launched a series of ambushes across Abitri strongholds, smiths and supply lines that made it near impossible for them to compete with the production and armaments of the Aegis. The goddess is considered the enemy of Fesus. The two had at one point been lovers, until the rise of the Conqueror caused a rift to form between the two. However at several points during the war, both Gods were given opportunities to injure, or even kill, one another, though neither ever seized the chance. During the Battle of the Northern Plains, Yan lost all but 2 of her chosen aasimar. This loss greatly effected the godess, and its widely accepted that their death is the reason Yan has never chosen any other mortals to become aasimar.   Today, Yan remains one of the most active Gods in the mortal plane. While she can never physically reside there, she is known to actively communicate with adventurers, providing assistance by imparting knowledge or weapons to parties she deems worthy.

Followers of Yan
Unlike most of the Gods, Yan has no temples or churches dedicated to her. Rather, her followers travel in caravans, providing aid wherever they find themselves and allowing their Goddess to guide their actions. Her followers focus on subterfuge as opposed to direct confrontation. Recently a group within the Empire tricked a group of Yanites into infiltrating Maleii, making them believe that the wizards inside were corrupt and providing false evidence to support the idea. The Yanites infiltrated and cut off the Source Tear within Maleii and were left to watch in horror as the Empire forces butchered the inhabitants. This event has caused Followers of Yan to become somewhat recluse in the Northern Provinces, and as a result the influence of the Goddess has deteriorated.
