The Griffon

Assumed by many to be a homage to the Griffon Cavalry of the city, this enormous statue is in fact one of the Walking Statues of Waterdeep. It was the last to appear, in 1479, when it came to the defence of Ahghairon's Tower, before finally perching on top of Mount Waterdeep.
