Slaad Tadpole

Slaad Tadpole's are creatures born from when a Red Slaad implants a humanoid host with an egg. Over three months, the egg moves to the chest cavity, gestates, and forms a slaad tadpole. In the 24-hour period before giving birth, the host starts to feel unwell and becomes sluggish and lethargic. At birth, the tadpole chews its way through the vital organs and out of the host's chest in 6 seconds, killing the host in the process.   Once born, the tadpole will feed on the host's remains and then will seek out any fresh meat it can find. The tadpole grows into a fully grown Blue Slaad (or Green Slaad if the the host had the ability to cast 3rd level spells or higher) within 2-24 hours (2d12).   Slaad Tadpoles are incredibly weak but are agile and sneaky. When in danger they prefer to run and hide rather than engage in direct combat.
