Ga Iniria Lands
The Ga Iniria Lands are Condioh, Rikondi, Stelethasrien and (biome-wise) northern Verad. These lands are primarily ruled by Ga Iniria descendants and promote the lightarts with an intensity bordering on fanaticism. The countries north of the Sea of Condioh have mixed deciduous forests to the highlands, and wet grasslands along the coast. This area is warmer and receives a lot of yearly rain. The winds off the Sea of Condioh send showers north, which then collide with the plateau's cliffs and basically sit until they dissipate or manage to creep over the precipice. Biodiversity is far higher than what can be found further north. The forests are lush. The trees are tall, leafy, and have bushes and shrubs in abundance. Woodlands meadows with bright flowers are scattered throughout, and the many ponds and lakes attract waterfowl. The numerous deciduous trees shed their leaves for winter, and produce a magnificent display of color during Spiced Air. Especially in Condioh, the population assumes the forests are sculpted, since so many generations of wielders have touched the wilderness with their Greenroot magicks. Most animals spend Cold Rains and Frozen Air in their native habitat, and have adapted to the sometimes harsh Frozen Air days. Many birds fly north, across the Sea of Condioh, to nest in the woodland areas, and retreat south for milder climes during the coldest lesser seasons. The grasslands have richer soil, and many small farming communities are scattered throughout. While some large wild areas are still extant, many have been turned into either cropland or garden forests carefully cared for by Greenroot magickers. The large herds of herbivores that once roamed across the continent are held to a fraction of their original migration path, except for the kharnhiok. As large herbivores with thick bodies, they plow through whatever is in their way, and nothing stops their progress, whether spear or spell. The Sea of Condioh has a diverse array of fish and sea mammals, and is home to the Catspaw Otter, once considered a sacred animal to the peoples who inhabited the land before the Ga Iniria.
