Vanguard

The Vanguard is best described as an adventuring guild, offering basic services, supplies, and lodging to those looking to lead a more mercenary-like lifestyle. While it does require membership to gain access to these, it can be an invaluable resource for adventurers, heroes and mercenaries a-like.

Structure

While some can grow in rank within the Vanguard, typically those who are a part of the Vanguard are either on the side of mercenary or adventurer, or they are part of the group that supports and services them at the many different lodges spread throughout the world. 
For those who work as part of the inside of the Vanguard's service corps, they range simply from Quartermasters, Artisans, Smiths, Caretakers and others.
