The sizeable rivertown of Hochoch, near the fork in the river Elbe, is the last navigable port on the river and a trading center for the surrounding countryside. Most goods heading into and out of central Mystmere must pass through the town. Hochoch main concerns are the safety of its trade routes. With the two main thoroughfares, down The Elbe River and along the road to Wilton, passing through the wilderness known as The White Forest and The Gloomhills and banditry is not uncommmon. There are no churches or temples within the Village's walls.
