Atomic Theory

Atomic theory is a disproven theory that proposed matter is composed of particles called Atoms. Atomic theory emerged during Ervenius' Draught and was widely accepted as the truth regarding the properties of matter. According to this idea, if one were to take a lump of matter and cut it into ever smaller pieces, one would eventually reach a point where the pieces could not be further cut into anything smaller. Proponents of atomic theory called these hypothetical ultimate particles of matter atoms, a word borrowed from draconic exonyms, True which refers to an inseperable word. The theory was completely disproven with the Weave becoming stable, as it was quickly demonstrable that all matter is comprised of four elements, and not over 80 as required by atomic theory.
